Palazzi 2012
We picked merlot from September 12th-October 3rd; the musts from each parcel were black, light, flat and hard to discern particulars. So were the wines as they ran off the skins after fermenting, dense and full of matter, but with little taste. I liked the low alcohol but it was hard to discern more than a seamless, smooth character in the wines then. At the end of February the wines started revealing a rich, growing body and, afterwards the flavors and the red fruit appeared. Palazzi is made from 100% merlot from our Palazzi vineyard. The production was 200 cases.

REVIEWS
“Trinoro’s 2012 Palazzi, 100% Merlot, is flat-out stunning. Beautifully textured and layered in the glass, the 2012 boasts superb depth and intensity, not to mention fabulous overall balance. Dark raspberries, flowers, mint and new leather are some of the many notes that resonate on the finish. What a fabulous wine this is.”
